On September 23, 2007 I was fortunate to have help from Owen AK7AR, Eric
KC0AYD, and Larry W7LB with the takedown of my HF beam. The Cushcraft A3-S
has been up for about 13 years and no longer provides adequate SWR.

Owen, Larry, and Eric planning out the temporary guy lines.

Eric clamps the guys while Larry directs from the ground.

Eric near the top, checking the bolts.

Eric starts to lower the beam while I wait on the roof.

The beam is almost down, Owen holds the rope tied through a pulley.

I've now got the beam and I'm lowering it to rest on the roof for repair work.

We had to be careful not to bang it against the other antennas nearby.

Sure looks empty without the beam!
